Kyle - Passover, the master key to completely protect from the last disaster.

The Bible prophesied the great disaster will come on the earth. But the Bible also tells us about not only disaster but also the method that we can be protected from it. Then, How does God protect us from the disaster?

Ex 12:13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
In the age of Moses, God established the Passover for the first time and He promised the disaster would pass over them when they keep it.

According to this God’s promise, Israelites who kept the Passover were saved from the disaster that all firstborn were killed. And this promise was not only for the time of Moses.
In the time of king Hezekiah 800 years after Moses, there is history people who kept the Passover were saved.

2Ch 30:1,10 Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, inviting them to come to the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel. … The couriers went from town to town in Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun, but the people scorned and ridiculed them.

At that time, Judah in the south kept the Passover. On the contrary, Israel in the north didn’t do this.
And after that, Assyrian invaded both nations.

2 Ki 18:9~10, 12
In King Hezekiah's fourth year, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria marched against Samaria and laid siege to it. At the end of three years the Assyrians took it. So Samaria was captured in Hezekiah's sixth year, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel. …  This happened because they had not obeyed the LORD their God, but had violated his covenant--all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded. They neither listened to the commands nor carried them out.

Israel in the north which ignored the Passover was destroyed completely by the enemy.

2 Ki 19:30~35
Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. ...will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant." That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning--there were all the dead bodies!

But Juda in the south was protected by God according to promise of the Passover. Then what about this age?

Ex 12:11,14 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the LORD's Passover.  … "This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD -a lasting ordinance.

Just as the Passover is a lasting festival of God, the Promise of Passover is also lasting, The Passover is the master key to completely protect from the last disaster.

  4. God's promise is accurate. And through the Passover, God promised protection and eternal life. Now it is up to us whether we trust on Them or not to receive this promise.
