What kind of fear can make people feel scared and dreadful the most? It is the fear of death, isn't it?
In the Bible there are many similar terms referring to A disaster. It appears 117 times of 'disaster', 93 times of 'destruction', 28 times of 'calamity', 2 times of 'catastrophe' and 5 times of 'pestilence' in whole Bible. The terms are all related to death. Especially the term, 'pestilence' refers to plague which is regarded as the contagious and infectious disease killing people.
Ez 7:5~7 Sovereign LORD says to the land of Israel: The end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land. I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices. Disaster! An unheard-of disaster is coming.
If the disaster designated comes upon all the people, none of us could flee from it with our own power. Human is weak and feeble in front of huge natural disasters. Even a day we cannot make our life longer. Then how we can flee from it? God promised us to protect from all kinds of disasters and diseases.
Rev 7:2~5 He called out in a loud voice to the four angels at the four corners of the earth who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.
The way to being put the God's seal on the forehead is to keep the Passover by eating Jesus' flesh and drinking Jesus' blood. It is because whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood will be ONE with Him and will never see death.
Mt 26:26~28 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
We surely have to keep the Passover to get the God's seal on our forehead as the sign between God and us in order to rest under God's unlimited and unceasing love.
