Mr. Smile - The Church of God
Nowadays there are countless and various churches in the world, each with different doctrines and beliefs. Among them which church is the true church that Jesus established and taught us many things 2,000 years ago? He made only one church to lead mankind to the kingdom of heaven. What kind of church did Jesus established and apostles attended?
1 Corinthians 1:1-2 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes, To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours:
The name of the church that Jesus established and Apostles attended is the Church of God. In those days Apostle Paul and saints who received letters from him belonged to the Church of God.
Is just being called the Church of God enough to become the church that Jesus established? The true church must have the truths taught by Jesus and the truths must be practiced by the apostles.
2,000 years ago, the Church of God kept the Sabbath of the New Covenant.
Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read.
Jesus kept the Sabbath as was his custom. According to the example of Jesus, the apostles kept the Sabbath as their custom was.
Act 17:2 As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
In addition, the Church of God kept the Passover of the New covenant 2,000 years ago.
Luke 22:15/19-20 And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer...And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood which is poured out for you.
According to the example of Jesus the saints of the Church of God celebrated the Passover of the new covenant.
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
The word “us” refers to the members of the Church of God. They kept the New Covenant Passover to commemorate the sacrifice of Jesus by eating Passover bread and drinking Passover wine including Apostle Paul.
Therefore the name of church that Jesus established and apostles attended is the Church of God. And the Church of God keeps the Sabbath and the Passover of the new covenant according to Jesus' teachings.
2,000 years ago our God himself established the church and called it as 'Church of God'. Even though there are so many churches in the world, the church established by God and contains the truths of God is the 'Church of God'. In Church of God, let us learn and follow the will of God :)
ReplyDeleteBefore someone establishes and names it, there is no meaning of existence for it, but once if someone establishes and names it, it has been given the original meaning of existence. The Church of God was established and given the name by God and then it has the special meaning of existence to preach the gospel and let the whole world know the Savior's name in this last age. Let's accomplish the will of God, letting people believe in God Elohim and get salvation of eternal life. All thanks and glory be to God the Father, Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother :D
ReplyDeleteIt is very easy to tell what is true and what is false because we all believe in one Bible, one teaching (from Jesus). Christ Jesus himself kept the Sabbath and celebrated the Passover and attended the church of God. We do not need to argue about the truth. In the Church of God, I too will keep the Sabbath and celerbrate the Passover according to the teachings of Jesus.
