[Basic] The Passover (7) - The Passover, the New Covenant
All Christians who're believing in God, both the Catholic churches and the Protestant churches, acknowledge that the old covenant was made with God the Father in the Old Testament times and the new covenant was made with Jesus in the New Testament times. Also they boast by themselves that they keep Moses' Ten Commandment which was regarded as the old covenant but they don't know about the new covenant exactly. Then what is the new covenant? Jesus Christ mentioned it for the first time on the day of the Passover. Lk 22:19~20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This in my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Then what is the Passover regarded as the new covenant? It is the most important God's feast through which His people is saved and freed from their sins and death. ...
